Mining Engineering and Survey Drafting Standard

This standard describes the requirements to ensure that mine design plans and survey plans are consistent with the applicable Australian Standards and to achieve statutory compliance and best management practice incorporating safety, environmental and cost effectiveness in the drafting of design and survey plans at all mines.  This standard designates who is responsible for achieving these requirements.

Effective mine plans are the fundamental block for effective communications, reporting and issuing construction instructions.  This standard requires that appropriate hard copy plans as well as electronic copies be maintained and accessible.
