Mine Plan Approvals

This standard describes the requirements to ensure that approved mine design plans are completed prior to any work being undertaken and that they are consistent with the applicable Australian Standards and the minimum SXO requirements.  The intent of this standard is to achieve statutory compliance and best management practice incorporating safety, environmental and cost effectiveness in the drafting and approval of mine plan approvals at all mines.  This standard designates who is responsible for achieving these requirements.

Effective approved mine plans are the fundamental block for effective scheduling, communications and issuing construction instructions.  This standard requires that appropriate hard copy approved plans, as well as electronic copies are maintained and accessible.
