Mining Instruction Plans

This standard describes the requirements to ensure that approved Mining Instruction Plan's (MIP) consistent with the appropriate Mine Plan Approval (MPA) are completed and issued in accordance with this standard prior to any work being undertaken by mine personnel/staff or mining contractor and that those MIP's are consistent with the applicable Australian Standards and the minimum SXO requirements.  The intent of this standard is to achieve statutory compliance and best management practice incorporating safety, environmental and cost effectiveness in the communication of mining instruction plans at all mines.  This standard designates who is responsible for achieving these requirements.

Effective mine instruction plans are the fundamental block for effective communications and issuing construction instructions.  This standard requires that appropriate hard copy approved plans, as well as electronic copies are maintained and accessible.
