Luke Neesham, former Senior Mining Engineering Consultant has some 13 years experience in mining engineering and management within the mining industry. Luke holds a B.E. Mining from the WA School of Mines, a Grad. Dip. Applied Finance & Investment Securities Institute of Australia and he is a Member of The Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM). In addition he holds a Northern Territory Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency and a Western Australian Underground Supervisor's Certificate of Competency. He has highly developed communication and computer literacy skills with experience in the use of Surpac, Vulcan, Micromine, Mine Works Planner, Pronto, SAP, MS Project and MS Office softwares. He has gained his experience from working in Australia, China and Armenia and has filled the positions of consultant, underground manager, technical services superintendent, instructor and mentor and mining engineer. He has excellent design, scheduling, reporting, budgeting and cost management skills and a proven record supervising and coordinating underground mining activities for client/contract and owner/operator workforces during all phases of a mine life including feasibility, development, production mining and salvage/shutdown phases in both shaft and decline operations. Gold and base metals. Luke has experience and skills in working with and training non-English speaking personnel in the mining industry. Luke has returned to direct employment with an operating mining company and is not available for consulting.
