Carmen Letton, Senior Mining Engineering Consultant has some 24 years experience in operational, technical and mining engineering roles and management within the mining industry.  Carmen holds a B.E. (Mining) - Honours from the WA School of Mines, and is part way through her PhD Mineral Economics course at University of Queensland, Carmen is a Member of The Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM).  In addition Carmen holds a First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency - Western Australia, a Mine Managers Certificate (Surface) - Papua New Guinea and a Mine Managers Certificate and Registration - Ghana. Carmen is a Results orientated, experienced General Manager and leader with over 24 years continuous international experience in large scale mining operations and complex technical project roles, providing first class leadership and direction for project and operations management.  Expertise and focus on budget and schedule with demonstrated success in achieving stretch targets in both operational and project environments.  Core accountabilities include all key mine engineering faculties and associated technical services areas for mining and associated ventures.  With significant experience in: resource/Reserve Estimation; Project Management; Financial Analysis, Evaluation and Valuation; Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestments; and Risk Management and Change Management.

Carmen has gained her experience from projects in Australia, Papua New Guinea, Ghana and the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire filling positions of General Manager Technical Services, Chief Engineer and Mining Manager with cross disciplined teams (Geology, Mine Engineering, Metallurgy) and multiple commodities (Gold, Copper, Uranium, Silver, Zinc, Nickel).    Carmen has experience and skills in managing and working with non-English speaking personnel in the mining industry.  Carmen is available for consulting.
